How to remove edge line in the image?

i am using the wide line detector codes and modified the huang_usage.m to get the following image. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/3r188 However i would like to remove the edge that circle in red. Is that anyways to do so? or need to modify the wide line detector codes.

But in your original thread you posted on this image http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/45267#comment_93122 you said "i found another way to solve the problem". Doesn't seem solved to me. Anyway, it looks to me like you'd have better luck doing what I said in my other post. Since this looks like it's just the outer edge of your original image, you can just threshold and erode. With this edge detection image, it's way harder. I'm not even going to try.
