I try to model DC motor in simulink. But I cannot connect universal bridge block(Average-model based VSC) to DC motor I bulit which include resistor, inductor and Electromechanial converter blocks, however, that can be done in video showed at website (<http://www.mathworks.co.uk/videos/speed-control-of-a-dc-motor-using-pwm-68962.html)>, how to deal with that?
Futhermore, what's the difference between physical variable and physical signal in simulink, why they cannot connect to each other and how to deal with that?
Thanks very much.

Looks like the blocks trying to connect are part of two different technologies, Simscape technology (Rotational Electromechanical Converter) and Specialized Power Systems (Universal Bridge). It is not possible to directly connect block from the two technologies. It is better to use only one technology, similar blocks are available.
Physical signals describe real-world physical quantities, while domain signals are mathematical representations used for simulation and analysis. Physical signals capture the behavior of physical components, while domain signals enable mathematical manipulation and computation within the simulation environment.
