Histopathlogical medical image enhancement

Hi all:

What are the best filters for enhancing histopathological RGB medical images? could I use imfilter? I have tested anisotropic diffusion filter and it didn't work. It seems that it works only for grayscale images.

Sure, you could. Who knows if it will be the "best" filter, but if you like it, that's mostly what counts.
