What is the theoretical quantile normal distribution in qqplot?

I'm about to plot my residuals in a qqplot like this,
qqplot(myresiduals)
and read from description the command plot the residuals against a ' theoretical quantile values from a normal distribution''. My questions what is the mean and standard deviation of this theoretical quantile?
