Using MATLAB on multiple devices with one account

I am a student looking to buy MATLAB for my undergrad research as well as use it for research over the summer (hopefully). I was wondering if there was a way to have one account download MATLAB on multiple devices. I have a desktop in my room and also a laptop for while I am in lab. What is the best (and cheapest) option for this.

Student licenses can only be used for fulfilling course requirements , never for employment or research that is not part of a course .
In some cases the entity you would be researching for might be able to supply you with an Education license or a commercial license .
