how to find if a signal is similiar or includes other signal ?

Hi,

IM developing some automatic code that tests if the recorded signal matching the refernced.

I have a audio(mono) referenced signal.

Using some HW im sampling another audio signals,

What i need is to find if the sampled signal similar/includes the referenced signal ?
