Use linalg::factorLU for a gf matrix.

I am trying to find the independent columns of a rectangular gf matrix.For that I need LU function.But matlab lu only works for square matrices.I saw a function linalg::factorLU in some muPAD .I dont know how to use it.Can I get a small snippet of code for doing that?
