I want to detect flowers of two kinds of plants,what kind of features I should extract in such images?

Hello, I have Sorghum and Yufeng plants(attached images).What should I do for flower detection in such images?Which possible features could be extracted? Thank you for your guidance

For this particular problem, you can check the standard deviation in all the three color spaces and identify the flower based on that.
