Questions on how multiple licenses work?

I currently have two licenses on my account as per:

Recently I installed the latest version of matlab on my individual student license, my university gave me an academic one and I thought I would add it to see what extra toolboxes I get and such. (Reason I have a individual license is that the student one lasts longer than the academic one, where the academic is only one semester but I have two semesters so I bought my own license for student use.)
#1 Will my current install under Individual Student be affected by the academic license now also being added to my account, am I correct to presume if I reinstall matlab I can choose either Academic license on my account or student?
#2 I noticed I now have access to more Matlab courses, but it seems to automatically add these under the academic license without anyway to switch back unless I am confused by the fact that I have had in fact, the same access to courses I have always had on the student license, perhaps the fact they sent me an email to push there courses under the newly applied academic license is confusing me as I rarely look at the courses tbh.
