plot callbacks working in 2012b are not responding in 2016a. Any idea why? How to resolve?

An application (a plot with callbacks attached to datapoints) works fine in matlab 2012b. But when I upgraded to 2016a, callbacks are going unresponsive. Works after lot of tries only. Why it is happening? How can we resolve this?
