how to install matlab in MAC os..
Does MATLAB used for windows is different from MATLAB used for MAC OS. the setup file used for installation of MATLAB in windows is not working when i tried in MAC OS.

Yes you need different setup files. My memory from the documentation is that the one for OS-X is in the form of a .dmg file.
There are very few binary files that will execute under both Windows and OS-X.
