mouse callbacks on uiaxes

I am making an application that needs to react to clicking on images. uiaxes objects do not offer mouse callbacks. And when I tried to set a ButtonDownFcn on one, this was confirmed 'Functionality not supported with figures created with the uifigure function'.

I assume that there is SOME way to get an App Designer application to react to clicking on images. What is it? Or can I only use GUIDE?

Hi one workaround is to use both 'CurrentPoint' property of uiaxes and 'WindowButtonUpFcn' of uifigure in tandem. On right click of mouse get the the current mouse location using 'CurrentPoint' and see if the click is within the range of uiaxes.

You can execute the appropriate callback based on that.
