Analysing high dimensionality data using wavelets

I have been trying to analyse 1D signal that is the conversion of a nucleotide sequence of E coli using continuous wavelet / complex continuous wavelets. But the computation goes on endlessly. How can I analyse high dimensionality data( ~ 10 exp 8) in wavelet toolbox?
