I want to know the step response of the system (attached). It may be unstable, but still i want to see the response. I am getting the following error in matlab: " Derivative of state '1' in block 'ird_vrd_tf/Transfer Fcn' at time 1.0348738795427312 is not finite. The simulation will be stopped. There may be a singularity in the solution. If not, try reducing the step size (either by reducing the fixed step size or by tightening the error tolerances)" I would like to simulate in fixed step.

Typical causes can be divide by zero (1/0 = inf) or general unstable dynamics that quickly blow up over time. You should check that in your model.
This answer should be helpful in trying to understand your problem.

Yeah, i would like to see the unstable dynamics for a small interval. Is that possible.
