How can I create an array of symbolic matrices?

I need to create an array of symbolic matrices. But when I try this code:
syms a b c
x(6) = [a b; c 0]
Unable to perform assignment because the indices on the left side are not compatible with the size of the right side.

Use it as a cell...
syms a b c
x{6} = [a b; c 0]
