So let's say the first polynomial is [ 1 0 1] and I divide it to [1 4 4 4 3] and the results should be [0 0 1 -4 13 -40 121 -364] the first 2 zeros are because x^0 and x^-1 have the quotient 0. How can this be done in matlab? deconv function only returns x at positive powers

u = [0 0 1 0 1];
v = [1 4 4 4 3];
Result = filter(u,v,[1, zeros(1,7)])
ans =
0 0 1 -4 13 -40 121 -364
