Today, I installed MATLAB on my Linux computer. (I ran both the installer from the MathWorks website and the "matlab-support" package available on the repositories.) When I open the program, MATLAB starts up and throws several errors: 'com.jogamp.opengl.GLException: X11GLXDrawableFactory - Could not initialize shared resources for X11GraphicsDevice[type .x11, connection :0.0, unitID 0, handle 0x0, owner false, ResourceToolkitLock[obj 0x2b3cda97, isOwner false, 853ca57[count 0, qsz 0, owner NULL]]]' and 'Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException' and 'Exception in thread "Startup Class Loader" java.lang.InternalError: XXX0 profile[1]: GL3bc -> profileImpl GL4bc !!! not mapped'
Commands run in MATLAB after these errors are thrown do not seem to be affected. I tried a couple of ideas from the web, including setting a new environment variable for the preferences directory, deleting the preferences directory, changing the user permissions on the preferences directory, and running in debug mode (nodisplay, nojvm, nodesktop).
Is this clear? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
