Change the input number of channels in Deep learning

Is it possible to change the input channel number of a deep learning network to any arbitrary number instead of just 1 or 3? (e.g ImageInputLayer only allows 1 or 3 channels)
I am doing a research where my task is to classify bunch of 6 dimensional matrixes. So the input for me is a m*n*6 matrix for each sample
