Hello,
I am just wondering, if there is any possiblity to change the positions of inputs and outputs of simulink blocks. I.e. e.g. having one input and output on the left and right side (like heat exchangers). Or ports on every side ...
Thanks for answers in advance.

Are you looking for RightClick --> Format --> Flip block (Ctrl+I)... ?

No, ctrl + r or + i won't help in my case.

This is a very well known limitation. No, unfortunately, it is not possible to set arbitrary positions of ports.

Maybe we'll see that in future distributions? Is it the same thing with simscape and related products?

With Simscape and related products, since the physical ports have no notion of input or output, you can assign them to either the left or right (or top or bottom) sides. But you can't use more than those two sides.

Thanks for the hint. Works so far.

Now it is possible by simply dragging the ports of a block.
