Copy of multiple equal size arrays into one big array using loop

i am working on a project where i want to store all of my equal size images into one variable possible array. i have multiple images of 64x64 size, i have to read all of them form a single folder and need to store them in one variable. please help me i use arr(i,::) where i is counter control variable but its doesn't work

Use counter variable on the third dimension if your matrix is 2D already, for example,
arr(:,:,counterVar)
or a cell array
arr{counterVar}

for training purpose which type of variable is better to save data in array variable or cell variable

If everything is numeric and of uniform size then I'd suggest a normal matrix.
