I have the Mechanics Explorer disabled when I run a simulation to reduce the requirements on my computer. Can the Mechanics Explorer be opened after a simulation is done running?

As far as I can tell, if the Mechanics Explorer is disabled, there is no animation to access at the end of the simulation.
You can try these options to reduce the demands on your processor (depends on your computer if it will help). Enable the visualization and do one of the following:
  1. Minimize the Explorer Window
  2. Hide all solids in the model, and then Show Everything when the simulation is done
