can't play video (movie, mplay, ...)

Hi there, I've read a video with mmread() ... but ...
ich can't play the video, with movie() i got the error "Invalid movie structure: wrong number of fields."
with mplay() i got the error "Reference to non-existent field 'colormap'."
only with mmplay() i can play the video, but just in fullscreen. if i start it from the commandline it'll open a new figure, if i'll start it with my own .m-file my whole screen is black .... looks like the video with mega-zoom!
any idea how i can play my video with other players, or how i can play it with mmplay() only in the axes of my GUI where i want it to do?
