SVM classifier

i want to use svm classifier for testing and training.....i am inputting the training matrix as 12*10, where each column is the feature of a particular image and there are 10 images.all i want to know is that what should the group matrix be like in command " svmstruct = svm (training,group)????do i have to put some features of a particular image out the 10 images in the group matrix ??/wat should be its order???.....

The group should be the class number assigned to each of those training images (based upon some kind of external judgement). It should not be a feature.

By class number do u mean that i have to label each image and place that label as group????......
