How to control simulink by keyboard

Hello, it is possible to control the Simulink simulation through the keyboard in real time? Because I would like to control the arm of the robot using the keyboard.
I found the library for example: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/24216-simulink-keyboard-input-v2
But it works very slowly.
