How can I obtain edge map of optic disc from fundus image by using structured edge detection toolbox

I have an healthy and unhealthy image of optic disc in a fundus image.. and I want to obtain edge map of optic disc image after cropping it from fundus image.. and also feature extraction of an optic disc...plz help me..

I'm sure someone has done that, so just find a paper in VisionBib's ophthalmology section and code it up.
