Matlab R2017a Trial version stuck at initializing.How do i solve this issue?

The preferences button is also INACTIVE When Simulink option is clicked, the MATLAB turns into BUSY MODE and keeps buffering.

You may need to clear the preference directory.

You can know the directory, by the following command in MATLAB.

prefdir

By default, prefdir is C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\MathWorks\MATLAB\R2017a (if Windows)

or

/home/USERNAME/.matlab/R2017a (if Linux)

Delete this directory and relaunch MATLAB. MATLAB will start clean.
