What is the minimum allowed inactivity timeout for a Matlab 2016a floating license?

2 ビュー (過去 30 日間)
I've noticed that other licensed software that use the FlexLM license manager allow timeouts as low as 15 minutes. For Matlab, all that I am finding is that the minimum inactivity timeout value is 4 hours (14,400 seconds). Is it possible to use a lower inactivity timeout value such as 900 or 1800 seconds?

In case you reduce the timeout below 14400 seconds, you will either got an error message in the log file or it silently does not work as you expect. The limitation is by design.
The underlying question is why you need the reduction? The purpose as I recall it is to avoid end users block keys and then go into meetings all day, or in the past there were issues with crashing license managers not returning the key and the admin had to restart manually.

@Andreas Goser - Right, the purpose is to avoid end users block keys and then go into meetings all day.
Please consider to reduce the Timeout to 1 hour (3600 Seconds) or 2 Hours (7200 Seconds). As Neil stated other vendors, allows the Lower Timeout value.
Are there any advantage with the Timeout set to 14400 Seconds please?
