How is the "vectorized gating signal" generated for a full-bridge converter block in simscape?

Regarding the Full-Bridge Converter block in Simscape, how is the "vectorized gating signal" generated? I assume this a 4 signal vector?

To see an example that uses the block, type the following command at the command prompt to open the model:

power_converters

Thanks, I'm aware of that example. Unfortunately, it does a poor job of explaining how the vectorized signal is created.
