I want to perform wavelet transform on a signal which is obtained by switching in a large power distribution network.I have a model with appropriate blocks and view the said signal in a scope. How can I now perform the wavelet transform and view and save the transformed signal?

You can save the signal plotted on a Simulink Scope to a variable in workspace. See History tab on the Scope parameters dialog. Use the array format for saving.
This signal can then be loaded into the wavelet tools using the "Import from workspace" option.
Use the command wavemenu to launch the wavelet toolbox main menu. Click on a wavelet analysis tool say Wavelet1-D. Navigate to File->Import from Workspace->Import Signal
