I use MATLAB & Simulink with the Arduino UNO on a home science project but I want to be able to also use the Digilent AnalogShield to capture a true bipolar signal (+/- 5V range). How can I get the hardware support package to recognize a new shield library?

Hi,
I am assuming you are speaking of creating your own library and making it work with Arduino. If you are planning to create your own library, then the File Exchange submission in the link below may be of help: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/39354-device-drivers
If you are interested, there is another submission by the same author called "Motor Shields" - it may be helpful but I don't know all the details of your application.
I hope this helps!
