Alternative to change simscape parameters during run-time

As far as I can see it is not possible to change Simscape parameters during runtime. Is this correct? In my Simulation I have to turn a pump in a hydraulic system on and off depending on the pressure within the system. What is the best way to realize this? Thank you very much!

For a fixed-displacement pump driven by a ideal angular velocity source the pump can be turned on and off via a simulink-PS converted output signal (e.g. 0 and 1) from Stateflow fed into the S-port of the ideal angular velocity source.
