why we give training and testing samples in same data set on neural network?

Training, validation and testing are performed automatically. See the help and doc documentation examples for FITNET (regression/curve-fitting) and/or PATTERNNET (classification/pattern-recognition).
For more examples search the NEWSREADER and ANSWERS using
greg fitnet
or
greg patternnet.
