Is there a method to find out fractional derivative for unequal time steps in Matlab?

I would like to find out the fractional order derivative where the timestep is not constant. Most of the literature discuss techniques to evaluate the fractional derivative using equal timesteps or uniform mesh. Currently I have variable values obtained corresponding to simulation time where the increment in time step has not been constant.
