Why does MATLAB fail to proceed past Identity Management authentication during the installation process?

I am trying to install MATLAB using a Campus-Wide License. After I get to and complete the prompts to authenticate using Shibboleth Identity Management, I am brought back to the prompts once again. Why does MATLAB fail to proceed past Identity Management authentication during the installation process?

This problem occurs when your university Shibboleth account is not tied to the email address you are trying to log into the MATLAB installer with. Be sure to clear the cookies and cache from the web browser you are using for the login process, and then attempt authentication again.
