MATLAB cannot find jsonlab library during run time

Hi all, I have a matlab function that reads input from a json file. JSONlab - toolbox that encodes-decodes json files. https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/33381-jsonlab--a-toolbox-to-encode-decode-json-files.
I use .NET interface to call the matlab function. This works well when I run it via Visual Studio. But when I deploy the .NET application on to IIS Express the matlab function returns an Error "MATLAB:UndefinedFunction".
I guess I've to place the library (jsonlab) in a place that is accessible to Matlab Runtime but I'm not sure.
Can some one please tell me how to resolve this issue?
P.S : I've placed the library(jsonlab) in the path $MATLAB.
