How to connect simulink model and genetic algorithm in matlab?

I am doing optimization of PI controller using genetic algorithm for DC voltage regulation of Shunt Active power Filter. I dont know how to connect my simulink model and GA in matlab

iam also need to using genetic algorithm in matlab simulink iam work on hybrid eclectic vehicles and needed genetic algorithm inside model. can you help me
