Cry capturing with processing with matlab and arduino

Hello...I'm new to matlab. but i want to know voice recognition system that using matlab algorithm and arduino. I really want to record a baby cry as for reference and once if cry detects the arduino wants to compare with reference and doing some thing..plz help me for sound processing that related to matlab works..
