Why do I get errors when loading cftool GUI?

When clicking on APPs/CurveFitting or using directly the command cftool, the result is this error: Error in cftool (line 148) theApplication = sftool_v1( varargin, names );

I am using university computers so I do not think it is a license issue

Any ideas why CFTOOL GUI is not working properly?

That doesn't look like the full text of the error message. Please post all the text that appears in red when you try to run cftool.

You are right. Here it is all the text: Undefined variable "sftoolgui" or class "sftoolgui.sftool".
