beginner - creating a list to plot

I want to see how changing a parameter in my equation affects the max value. is there a way to make the parameter into a list of evenly spaced numbers and then to place each item on the list into the equation and plot how the max changes? I know it sounds confusing but im a beginner and am not sure of the best way to phrase this
