Simulink: adding another time variable?

Would it be possible for the Mathworks to introduce another time variable into Simulink? This would allow simulations to be run in two dimensions of time (over two independent variables), say over both chronological and cross-sectional time. Simulink would also then very useful for numerically solving pdes (rather than just odes), such as the heat and wave equations. Thanks

Try the PDE toolbox. Better still, try to solve two independent problems in the same SIMULINK window. Nothing to stop you.
