Quadtree Decomposition on binary Image

I am a color image from which i have got 3-plane i.e. R,G,B. for each plane i divided it into 8 bit planes. Now for each bit plane i need to apply Quadtree Decomposition. Can anyone help please. Or can some one help me to use qtdecomp function for binary image. How to set threshold for the binary image.

It would be 0.5, or any value between 0 and 1, non-inclusive.

Yeah, so? You said that you already have the bitplanes: "for each plane i divided it into 8 bit planes", so is there still a problem?

Suppose sir i have a bit plane like [1 1 1 1 1 0 1 0 ; 0 1 0 0 1 1 0 1 ; 1 1 1 1 1 0 1 0 ; 0 1 0 0 1 1 0 1 ;] Now in that case will the threshold 0.5 works as 0.5*0=0 and 0.5*1=0.5. Another thing is do i need to change the code for the block diagram representation code?
