How to capture the figure data as a single matrix?

Hi,
I could easily get figure image data using GETFRAME, but it returns .cdata which have three dimension. How could I save the figure image data as a single matrix image data?
So I would be able to process this image using imdilate(), imerode() etc.

That cdata is a single matrix image in RGB form. If you are sure that the image is greyscale then you can use any of the colour channel as your grey image. If not, use rgb2gray.
