how to supply Input matrix

I want to supply training and target matrix to Neural Network. what should be command format?

Example:

inputs = xlsread('data_flood.xlsx','Sheet5') .';
targets = xlsread('data_flood.xlsx','Sheet6') .';

n = 3; % number of neurons
net = feedforwardnet(n);
net = configure(net, inputs, targets);

Notice the transpose of the data: each column is a different sample.

Too imprecise. Are these different matrix pairs considered different realizations of the same phenomenon?
