How to extract global features from dorsal hand vein using Principal component Analysis PCA

Hello Sir, am working on the dorsal hand vein, i have preprocessed hand vein images after that I have to extract features from dorsal hand vein using Principal Component Analysis PCA. But i dont understand what is feature? and how to extract it using PCA. here am giving the code of preprocessed dorsal hand vein image.
