Can I disable java console output when using javaMethod?

I call a Java method from a class with javaMethod. It is located inside a .jar file. I am getting the desired behaviour from this except that this method has a lot of console output I wish to avoid. Since disabling all these outputs would be troublesome I was wondering if there is anyway I can disable outputs from java to matlab console.

AFAIK, no - MATLAB uses stderr and stdout. Same as Java.
