What is the difference between Matlab (search) path,starting folder and matlab root?

  • MATLAB root = the folder where MATLAB is installed
  • MATLAB search path = all folders where functions and scripts are searched when being called
  • Start folder = the folder that becomes the current folder when you start MATLAB
