Can any one plz explain the output returned by the imcontour(I,1) function.

I want to find the contour of a binary image and on those contour pixels I have to extract the features.
When I used imcontour(I,1) function it gave me 2D vector which I am am not getting as how to use it in my problem. Kindly help.

Are you using
C = imcontour(I,1);
so the "2D vector" you are referring to is the Contour Matrix? Contour Matrix are explained over here
