- Yes, you can remove the LC components in the Series RLC Branch blocks by changing an option in the block. It will update the block graphics too.
- Simscape has built-in blocks for resistors, inductors, capacitors, etc. without requiring SimElectronics. Check out the Simscape > Foundation Library > Electrical library!

I am having trouble creating a series resistor with some of my SimScape elements because I do not have SimElectronics for series resistors, I only have Foundation electrical elements.
Please see attached image for example of what I mean, I do have access to Series RLC however, but I don't know if I can modify it to remove the L and C.
Thank you for your help.

The two black blocks in your picture come from SimPowerSystems -- namely the "Specialized Technology" sub-library.
The blue block in your picture comes from Simscape.
You have two options:
