Can I save an image (to jpeg format) directly from YCbCr without YCbCr->RGB->YCbCr conversions?

I have a delicate YCbCr pattern, with colors. I want to save it as losslessly as possible into a JPEG. I know I can to YCbCr2RGB conversion and then save the RGB - which will be reverted back to YCbCr on the JPEG image file. Is there a way to save the YCbCr directly without the superfluous bask and forth conversions?

You can look in the File Exchange for some of the JPEG implementations and adjust them to skip the conversion.
