I have problem in connecting matlab 2014a(64-bit) and arduino uno when I enter >>a=arduino() after some time it gives an error:
"Updating server code on Arduino Uno (COM3). Please wait." then
avr-gcc application failed dialog box appear with error code 0xc0000142 when I click ok then in command window appear: "Cannot program Arduino board Uno (COM3). Please make sure the board is supported and the port and board type are correct."
my arduino port is com26.

To fix Application Error 0xc0000142
Make sure to create a restore point just in case something goes wrong. Also, after trying each Method on your system with different router settings, please check if you’re able to Fix Application Error 0xc0000142 or not.
Method 1: Uninstall Unkown Programs
Uninstall “Search Protect” or “SW Booster” or “Performance Optimizer.
1.Open Windows Control Panel.
2.Select the installed program list
3.Choose and Uninstall “Search Protect.” Again check if you’re able to Fix Application Error 0xc0000142 or not.

Have you checked it on YouTube I have found some tutorials to correct this on YouTube check them it might be helpful to you.
